What we should know about you

Questions answered by Tilmann Straub, Director
1. What was a troubling time that you managed to overcome?

Covid-19 greatly reduced the number of customers we were serving.

2. Imagine yourself/yourselves 5 years ago in comparison to the situation you are in today. Which achievements surprise you the most?

WeTu started with one water ATM in 2019, but as of 25 May 2023, WeTu has constructed 15 more water ATMs in 10 communities in western Kenya, drastically improving access to water and reducing the distance travelled by children, women, and youth in search of clean and safe water for drinking. We have managed to register more than 3,000 customers directly dispensing water at our water ATMs. Currently, WeTu has served a population of more than 18,000 people in western Kenya.
