What we should know about you

Questions answered by Quang D. Truong, CEO
1. What was a turning point in your career as an entrepreneur / for you as an organization?

The turning part for Fenik is when it has been recognized and supported by organizations and foundations including USAID, National Geographic, and Siemens Stiftung.

2. What is your biggest learning as an entrepreneur so far?

I made two major learnings, the first is that there are few angel investors compared to what we have been hearing, the second one is that hardware is hard.

3. What recommendation would you give to someone who thinks about starting a social enterprise?

I’d suggest they start with a problem they have experienced, or one that they deeply understand through others. Assume nothing and validate their approach compulsively as they progress with their client base. Constant course corrections are not the product of inexperience; they are critical to success.
